The origins of Bhangra
Bhangra is said to have originated in southern Punjab around the Multan region which had a famous temple dedicated to the sun god. Shaivite devotees consumed a drink mixed with 'Bhang' which is the Punjabi word for cannabis, a common ingredient in religious offering during the festival of holi, a spring festival just before the spring harvest season in Punjab.
The dance performed at this time in ecstasy with the beat of Dhol came to be known as Bhangra. The tradition spread slowly to other parts of the region and developed into a unique folk dance form. Although Bhangra has come of age and is now performed at every major celebration.

Usually from 5min to 25min long performances including traditional style Bhangra Dancing, singing and stunts. Alterations can be made to our performance too meet any requirements.
